How can i remove latex paint from my old hard wood floors?

The painter we used, was very messy. Now we have drips of paint on the floor, some quite large. We tried ';goof off'; but are afraid to leave it on for more than a few seconds. Any ideas? How can i remove latex paint from my old hard wood floors?
Alcohol will remove dried latex paint, however, you didn't say what your hardwood floors are finished with, so test it in an inconspicuous place...

Good luck...How can i remove latex paint from my old hard wood floors?
Try some very warm soapy water and a new no scratch pot scrubber, like scotch-brite. the larger spot may need a putty knife, go at it nice a even with the floor, maybe even put a old damp bath towel over it and a steam iron to soften the paint and the scrape the heavy stuff.
since it sounds like its fresh paint just use soapy water and a soft brush. put the water on just enough to soak the paint, leave for 3 to 5 minutes and then brush. should come right off.
its the painters job to clean up, sue him

try a fine wire brush with latex thinner or soap %26amp; water
