Is latex paint fumes harmful to a baby?

If so, how long should a baby be kept away from the environment? Is latex paint fumes harmful to a baby?
I asked my doctor this a while ago, and he said the worst that can happen is a headache, but not to let the baby sleep in the freshly painted area until the paint is totally dry. Also, you can get plug in air filters for like $20 at Home Depot that help remove the paint smell faster... latex paints don't really have fumes, thats also why they are relatively safe for pregnant women to use.Is latex paint fumes harmful to a baby?
untill it drys. to make sure.
Yes, not as harmful as petroleum products, but with well ventilation it should be ok, unless the baby has bronchial or asthmatic problems. Keep the baby away overnight, the next day it should be fine.
