Is their such a thing as non-latex paint?

Im paintng my room but im allergic to latex...anything will help. THANKSIs their such a thing as non-latex paint?
oil based paint, harder to clean the brushes thoughIs their such a thing as non-latex paint?
I just did some research with latex allergy associations because I'm going through the same challenge, and was concerned not only with the painting, but also with daily contact. They say that nearly all ';latex'; allergies are a misnomer. It is actually an allergy to natural rubber. Therefore, synthetic rubbers, such as those in acrylic paints should have no effect. Now to go find out how many products with penicillin will kill my daughter... :)
there is oil base which smells to high heck and is difficult to clean up after but very very durable. i would go w/oil if you cannot use latex. you'll just need paint thinner to clean your brushes and you'll need lots of rags on hand. i would get roller covers that aren't too costly so, if you get tired and don't want to paint any more that day you can just toss it in the trash rather then having to rinse and rinse w/thinner. also, you'll need excellent ventilation! the smell can make one nauseated. oil takes longer to dry but it dries to a smoother finish. enamels are oil or alkyd based. alkyd based will need turpentine for cleaning. latex paints are either vinyl or acrylic based. also oil has better adhesion. i would go to home depot and tell them your situation they will help you choose best paint for you ... and rather you want flat, semi gloss and so on. good luck!
well get anotehr person to paint it i have the same prob and i get my friends to paint or somthing then when it drys its fine :D
