Have tried muriatic acid, wetting to soften and then scrubbing - nothing seems to work.What is best way to remove old, dried latex paint from a brick surface?

Rent a power washer and it will do the job plus gives a good clean job
try lacquer thinner. a pressure washer may also bore into the brick face and mortar. it will weaken the wall
